This impressive antique is an antique Indian swinging crib from NW India - probably Gujarat. From the style and condition, we estimate the crib is from the 1920s. This ornate cot has been fabricated in the traditional Northern Indian style. Once upon a time, the cot would have been suspended from a frame.

We love the delicately turned teak spindles, ornate framework and scrolled decoration. It's a great piece of furniture history made by skilled wood artisans from the North of India.
