Sample Canvas and Leather Backpack made for the Glenkinchie distillery. A ruggedly stylish, our men's waxed leather and canvas backpack is functional enough for travel and city commuting. Scaramanga will be selling some of our sample bags. These are single one-off bags that have been made as part of our product development and design process. Samples are prototype bags fabricated from our hand-sketched designs.
There may be several samples made before we get to the final 'approved' design. Generally, early samples will lead to bags that are then fabricated for release. You may recognise some of our existing bag samples. The bags that have been sampled are made by our Indian bag partner's sampleman - Laltu. This is one of the most senior roles in the workshop and is given to the most experienced and skilled bag maker. Laltu has sampled over 40 bags and 60 leather accessories for us over the last 14 years.
Our sample bags are sold as new and unused bags. Very occasionally, after sampling, we do not proceed any further. Some of the samples are for discontinued styles. They may not have our internal fabric label and no external branding.
There may be small very discreet markings on the bag that were used/remain from the design process.
The practical adventure rucksack is made from green military waxed canvas. This material is hand dyed and waxed to give a highly desired distressed look. The canvas may show small marks and variation in colour but this adds to the style of the bag. We have combined the canvas material with a dark vintage leather which makes the bag eye-catching for all the right reasons. The hunter leather is also waxed to give the backpack for men more protection when out in the elements. Similar to the canvas, you may find small lines on the bag, but we assure you this adds to the character.
Fit everything you need for the day in your new travel backpack. You can hold up to a 15'' laptop and A4 documents in your new laptop backpack. You also have enough room to fit spare clothes for your next adventure. You want have to worry about the security of your belongings as we have added a drawstring closure to securely fasten the main compartment of the travel backpack. If you prefer to keep your mobile close to hand, the front pocket on the canvas bag would be the perfect storage solution.
