Sourced from north-western India, these comfortable and soft jute rugs are skillfully hand-spun and crafted from jute – a local ecologically sustainable natural plant fibre. You'll notice the off-white creamy woven fibres are spun and configured in a well-proportioned rectangle with minimal decoration. The rugs are robust and well fabricated and destined to last a long time.
If you have a large space in the middle of a living room or bedroom, then this rug might be the perfect solution.
Interestingly, these jute rugs are ethically sourced and handcrafted in Northern India. Jute production has been active in India since the 16th century. Back then local villagers would use jute for clothes, floor matting and rope production.
