This is a desirable vintage large square-shaped travel storage trunk - a British-made shipping trunk from the 1960-70s generously sized for the grandest of trips.

We're impressed by the handsome aged brown patina and the brightly coloured 'P.G.E.' initials of the previous owner. This old piece of shipping attire has a charming vintage appeal that has evolved from its minor scuffs and scratches.
We suspect the trunk was used to transport equipment – on the inside you can see the remains of straps that would have been used the secure the content.The trunk is made from compressed fibre – this was a super modern innovative material of the era. Clearly it was a great material because this trunk is in great condition for its long life. Today the trunk is still robust and sturdy.
