An old school poster from the late c.20th showing the 'Causes Of Diseases'. Posters like these were and are still widely used to instruct and guide people in India. This one warns against common actions that could lead to medical conditions and illnesses.

'Never eat articles kept uncovered. They are infected with disease'.... 'Do not share eatables with companions'... 'Continuous use of intoxicants like wine, opium, tobacco turn the man physically wreck and he falls victim to many diseases'.

Originally a classroom teaching aid from a primary school/college in northern India. The descriptions are in English and Hindi. Published by Vidya Chitr Prankashan, Darya Ganj, Delhi, 110006 and printed by: Sonal Offset Press, New Delhi.

The poster shows areas along its sides that have frayed and a few small tears towards the top of the poster. There is visible ageing and darkening to the surface. There will be small tears and rips. There have been substantial repairs to the poster that are visible to its back. The hanging poles are replacements. There is a missing section of the poster in the lower right portion.

The poster should be laid flat and pressed to flatten it. The poster may not hang perfectly flat.

Overall the poster is in a reasonable condition.
