This outstanding large carved wooden ornamental tiger's head has travelled all the way from India. Referencing Indian folk art, these striking display pieces were hand-carved and handpainted many decades ago. Images 2 and 3 show the last 2 heads.

Historically, the tiger - an apex predator - is seen as a symbol of power and strength (read more info below). Originally this recently-sourced collection of tiger heads would have been used to portray strength and vitality wherever displayed.

Each of these tiger heads is different. If you spot one that you must have please let us know and we'll do our best to track it (or a similar one) down if it hasn't already been sold.
