Old Brick Mould
An authentic old wooden brick mould would make an ideal storage box. This style of tropical hardwood brick moulds was once used for making mud or adobe bricks. Today, these chunky, solid tropical hardwood and iron moulds make great storage wooden storage boxes.
Buy a set of 5 mounds or 10 moulds and get a discount between 20% and 33%.
Of course, with the advent of mechanisation, cement and concrete use of moulds like these has almost ceased. However, small-scale rural enterprises can still be found making bricks in parts of Africa and India. All of our current stock does not have the frog insert with a maker's mark/initials.
Size: W30cm x D15cm x H9cm (sizes vary slightly).
Our vintage brick moulds are not new or made to look old. They will small marks and scratches, there may also be rough edges, bent nails and iron banding protruding from the base or sides of the mould. There may also be historic splits to the wood. These are consistent with their age and original use. We feel these add to their character and appeal.
If using as planters we would advise drilling 2-3 drainage holes in the bottom. If you would like us to drill the holes for you please make a request in the 'customer comments field when checking out.
