An unsual storage case box from India. It was probably used by a radio engineer / technician, from the city of Bhavnagar in Gujarat, western India, to store either tools or parts for repairing radios and transistors. The faded painted writing reads:  '... Radio Specialist, Sharaf Bazaar, Bhavnagar'.

The case has a metal carrying handle and the lid lifts to reveal a single compartment - perfect for stashing your old love letters, faded photos or your favourite curios.

This item would make a stunning visual feature in a retro or contemporary living room, bedroom or study.
